University of the Pacific and the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry lost a champion on June 26, 2021 with the passing of former University Regent Herbert K. Yee ’48.

Class reunions are more than “a walk down memory lane” for alumni. The reunions also offer an opportunity to celebrate together, to make new memories and to connect more deeply with faculty who helped them grow personally and professionally.
Diverse and dynamic are two words that describe the South of Market (SoMa) neighborhood, which has grown into an incredibly vibrant district of residents, cultural organizations and businesses. It bustles with world-class museums, shopping, dining, convention space, hotels, housing and educational institutions, the most recent of which is Pacific’s new campus.
The Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry’s international ties were strengthened this fall as the school hosted several groups of dental students as part of its cross-cultural exchange programs.
New students experienced a rite of passage in early August—the first-year retreat—with a new twist. This year, in addition to the traditional team-building activities and inspirational lectures, the students participated in a variety of community service projects.
